At ICCC the needs of every individual child are embraced. Each child comes to school from unique background and has its own needs, strengths, challenges, and interests. We combine child and teacher directed approaches to learning to help children reach their full potential.

Our program is based on the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC). Following the IEYC means that children focus on a combination of academic, personal and international learning that is exciting and challenging. The IEYC aims to help every child enjoy the learning of a wide range of subjects and to develop an enquiring mind, the personal attributes that will help throughout teenage and adult years. It helps every child develop a sense of his or her own nationality and culture, at the same time developing a profound respect for the nationalities and cultures of others. Through the IEYC approach to learning children build the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to confidently face the world of tomorrow.

At ICCC children are also exposed to music, arts and crafts, letters and numbers, and math activities through specialized programs like Jolly Phonics and Abacus Evolve, and conflict management programs like Kelso’s Choice.

Regular outings and field trips complement what we study and bring the learning to life.

Children have music classes three times a week, dance and karate classes twice a week.

Optional activities include:

– two weeks of skiing in winter

– a week in the mountains for green school in June

– sports like tennis, football, climbing and weekly hikes to the woods in the summer.

School year 2020/21 runs from 2 September 2020 to 18 June 2021. In July and August we have Summer program.

The school is closed for official public holidays and for two short vacations over Christmas (two weeks) and in July (two weeks).
